This 26,970 sq. ft., three-story building consists of a lobby, community room and a 24 parking space garage on the first level with 17 apartments above on the 2nd and 3rd levels.
The property was developed by the non-profit Del Norte Neighborhood Development Corporation to provide housing and assistance for homeless persons with HIV/AIDS. Milender White worked with Del Norte, the design team and HUD representatives throughout the preconstruction phase to determine the most sustainable and affordable building resources available.
The building is constructed with load-bearing metal stud framing, concrete (both self-performed by Milender White) and CMU in the below grade parking garage.
