Graham Reinforces Commitment to Equity in Infrastructure at Chicago Pledge Event

Graham joins a growing national coalition working to expand opportunities for historically underutilized businesses.

Graham is proud to be a new signatory to the Equity in Infrastructure Project (EIP) Pledge in 2026, joining industry leaders nationwide in a shared commitment to expanding contracting opportunities for historically underutilized businesses.

Graham’s Executive Vice President, Blake Christian, and Milender White’s Vice President of Business Development and Public Affairs, Albus Brooks, attended an EIP gathering in Chicago, demonstrating Graham’s continued support for the initiative. Christian initially signed the EIP Pledge in June; the Chicago event provided an additional opportunity to bring visibility to the commitment and stand alongside others advancing EIP’s mission.

The Equity in Infrastructure Project works to increase access to public infrastructure contracts by creating more opportunities for historically underutilized businesses to serve as prime contractors, joint venture partners, and equity participants. The initiative seeks to strengthen competition, improve the value of infrastructure investments, and help build lasting economic opportunity. The coalition has reached 104 pledge signatures.

Graham’s subsidiary companies: Milender White and XL Construction fully support Graham’s participation in EIP and its focus on opening doors for businesses that have historically faced barriers to major infrastructure opportunities. That support reflects a shared commitment across the Graham family of companies to building strong partnerships and supporting the communities in which they work.

The initiative has a particularly meaningful connection to Denver International Airport (DEN). Phil Washington, retired CEO of DEN, is a co-founder of EIP, and DEN was among the initiative’s early pledge signatories. His leadership helped bring national attention to the importance of creating more equitable pathways into infrastructure contracting.

Graham and Milender White continue to support DEN through their ongoing project work at the airport. Their presence at DEN underscores the connection between the infrastructure being built today and the broader opportunity to help more businesses participate in the industry’s future.

By supporting the EIP Pledge, Graham and its subsidiary companies reaffirm their commitment to a construction industry where more businesses have the opportunity to compete, grow, and contribute to projects that serve communities across the country.
