Holiday Giving – MW Delivers Toys and Cheer in CO and CA

December 23, 2022

Each December, Milender White (MW) reaches out, gives back and brings holiday cheer to the communities in which it builds. This year, MW’s Rocky Mountain and SoCal districts turned their F-150s into Santa sleighs and delivered toys and holiday help to great non-profit organizations.

On December 8, the Rocky Mountain district office in Arvada, CO embarked on its annual Santa Extravaganza, with MW team members heading straight for the toy shelves at local big-box retailers and bringing these gifts to three Denver non-profits serving kids and families: A Precious Child, The Family Tree, and Heart & Hand.

Eight days later, the SoCal district held its Santa Extravaganza, with team members delivering gifts and Christmas cheer to the Long Beach Rescue Mission. Kids in Long Beach received toys collected at MW’s Newport Beach office and its six Southland project sites.

MW team members in Colorado also played Santa’s elves, devoting their time and effort to gift wrapping in AMP the Cause‘s annual Holiday for Kids event, which brings toys, happiness, and great memories to nearly 1,800 kids in Denver. AMP the Cause is a non-profit organization that raises funds on behalf of 55 Denver-area non-profits.

These efforts represent just a part of MW’s year-round cycle of giving and charitable contribution – our ongoing Beyond Building campaign, which features annual golf tournaments that have raised nearly $1.2 million for children’s charities in Colorado and Southern California. In 2022, we donated a total of $212,000 to A Precious Child, Ace Mentor Program of Colorado, ALS Association, Alyssa Cares Foundation, American Diabetes Association-Denver, American Red Cross-Mile High Chapter, AMP the Cause, Arvada Food Bank, Big Brothers & Sisters of America, Book Trust, Brent’s Place, Campout for Kids, Children’s Hospital Colorado, Chinese Children Adoption International, Colorado Alliance for Drug-Endangered Children, Concerts for Kids, Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Davis Phinney Foundation, Denver Children’s Advocacy Center, Denver Children’s Home, Denver Health, Family Tree, Flowering Hope Foundation, Hearts & Hands Center, Hope House, Jeffco Action Center, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society-Mountain Region, Loma Linda University, Long Beach Rescue Mission, March of Dimes, Metro Denver Young Life, Multiple Sclerosis Society of Colorado, National Alliance on Mental Health, National Jewish Medical and Research Center, National Kidney Foundation, National Sport Center, One Monkey’s Miracle, Project Sol Flower, Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation, Rocky Mountain Rett Association, Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Save the Heartbeat Foundation, SOS Outreach for Kids, Tennyson Center, Transplant Foundation, University of Colorado Health, Urban Peak Denver, USA Cares, Villa Esperanza, YMCA of the Rockies and Youth Roots. At MW, there is a saying: “We don’t just build buildings, we build community.” These activities are part of our commitment to support the communities around us. We also thank all of our partners that participate in our annual golf tournaments, who help to make these donations possible.
