Permanently affordable housing in Boulder is becoming even more of a reality as construction begins on Rally Flats, a 100-unit community at the corner of 29th and Bluff Street. Built by Milender White (MW), designed by Coburn Architecture, and developed by Boulder Housing Partners, Rally Flats will provide homes for residents earning less than 60% of the area’s median income (AMI).
The project will consist of 24 studios, 62 one-bedroom units and 14 two-bedroom units, with sunlit and shaded flexible space for dog walking, exercise, and gathering, plus an outdoor “rain garden” and community meeting area. Its three buildings and courtyard, occupying a 1.86-acre site, are conveniently located near retail, job centers and high-use transit stops along 28th Street and Valmont Road.
