Milender White (MW) worked with Boulder Housing Partners and OZ Architecture in a pricing, value engineering and build process for a comprehensive interior and exterior renovation of these affordable apartments. Sanitas Place is part of BHP’s workforce housing portfolio and houses families that earn less than 50% of area median income. This 12-unit community contains mostly two-bedroom rentals.
The two-story, 34,860 sq. ft. building was a former motel that was lacking in curb appeal and overall aesthetics. Interior and exterior renovations and improvements included:
To accommodate BHP and the Sanitas Place residents, MW started construction after Thanksgiving and completed the interior renovations in time for everyone to move back home before Christmas. This extremely tight schedule required extensive pre-planning and was successfully met through great teamwork.
