Progress Report: 950 E. 3rd St.

One of the largest recent residential projects in downtown Los Angeles is on schedule to deliver this fall. Milender White’s project at 950 E. 3rd St. in the Arts District will soon be home to 472 apartments and 22,000 square feet of ground-level commercial space. The new Aliso apartment community by Fairfield Residential will also include fitness and recreational facilities, pool and spa, as well as a dog park, bocce courts and a linear green space along the eastern side of the six-acre property.

Currently, Milender White is underway with sitework on Phase 1/Building 1 with curbs gutters and paver installation. Punch list and turnover is just around the corner for these 85 units. Phase 2 exterior is nearly complete and the final roof of the project on Phase 3 was installed earlier this month. The Milender White team is 27 months into the project, and so far has utilized more than 690,000 man hours building this mixed-use development.

“We are in the final third stage,” said Morgan Lysohir, Construction Executive. “The project team has done a phenomenal job to date and will have a hard push to turn over the all three phases by the end of this year.  Our subcontractor partners have helped maintain a high level of safety and quality throughout, while maintaining the schedule. We look forward to a successful phased turnover of this project to our client.”
