ENR Mountain States Highlights Fourth Street Crossing

ENR Mountain States profiled Milender White Affiliates’ Fourth Street Crossing development, a pedestrian-friendly new downtown core for the Town of Silverthorne. The 3.8-acre development site is described as a “superblock” – with six distinct building types designed to achieve a pedestrian scale. Buildings include the Skywalk Flats, 34 residential condos over retail space, Elevate Homes, 33 three-story walkup townhomes with direct tuck-under parking, a four-story hotel, and an exciting new Market Hall, with mixed boutique retail, restaurants, central bar, and an events space. With a covered transit center and parking for over 203 vehicles, the project will become a place in which residents and visitors can spend time, shop, dine, work and live. The project is a collaboration between Milender White Affiliates, the Town of Silverthorne, Boulder’s DTJ Design, O’Bryan Partnership of Frisco, and Architectural Innovations of Lincoln, Nebraska.

Milender White Affiliates is proud to develop and construct this “heart space of the community.” Tim Fredregill, MW Affiliate’s Development Executive shared with ENR that the experience of Fourth Street Crossing is best described as “designing what will be Silverthorne’s downtown for the next 100 years.” The history of the mountain town is also being preserved through the renovation of the Old Dillon Inn and The Mint Steakhouse, two buildings that will be given new life as functioning spaces within the town core, blending the old watering hole concept with the new market hall venue.

“The whole town is excited for this opportunity,” Scott Vollmer, Director of MW Property Operations said to ENR. “People of every age range are looking for a place to go, and this will be a space to bring the family or set up a laptop on a Monday afternoon to get some work done. It’s a community-first feel, highlighting local businesses that are taking this risk with us.”

The Market Hall and event space will open in summer 2021, with the hotel and townhomes scheduled to open in fall 2021, followed by an additional phase of townhomes in summer 2022. The entire development is expected to be complete by year-end, 2022.
