Meta Housing Corporation, Milender White (MW), AMJ Construction Management, AC Martin and the Glendale Housing Authority (GHA) are all teaming up to provide Glendale seniors with new affordable apartments. Citrus Crossing broke ground on March 15 at 900 E. Broadway, in a transit-oriented neighborhood located just half a mile from The Americana at Brand and the Glendale Galleria, taking the first step toward its projected spring 2024 completion.
Citrus Crossing, which will be a 127-unit courtyard building, is designed to include an 8,046 sq. ft. plaza, a 2,267 sq. ft. roof deck, two community rooms, one senior services room, and two subterranean parking levels. It is intended for seniors earning 30-70% of the area’s median income (AMI). The five-story, 142,550 sq. ft. development will pursue LEED Platinum certification.
Built on a municipally owned parcel, Citrus Crossing represents part of the City of Glendale’s ongoing mission to provide sustainable housing. The GHA has helped to develop over 1,200 affordable housing units for low-income renters and homeowners. MW is proud to be a partner in this effort.
Mayor Paula Devine and Councilmember Ardy Kassakhian represented the City of Glendale at the groundbreaking, which featured guests from MW, Meta Housing, Western Community Housing, AC Martin, Bank of America and Citi Community Capital.

The Glendale Housing Authority has supported the development of numerous affordable housing projects using affordable housing funding since 1975.
