At the prominent corner of 55th and Arapahoe, a new 300-unit development is approaching construction. Milender White, Quad Capital Partners and Sopher Sparn are at work on 5501 & 5505 Arapahoe, a five-story mixed-use building that will help the City of Boulder reach its affordable housing goals. This project aligns with the city’s Station Area Master Plan for addressing local housing needs and providing housing close to transit – in this case, the emerging Arapahoe Avenue rapid transit corridor.
The building wraps around a five-level parking garage. Streetwall plazas, bike parking, ground-level amenity and fitness areas, a roof deck, and two upper-level courtyards (one with a pool) round out the design. Two retail suites will face the corner of 55th and Arapahoe. The exterior colors of the building will reference hues in the natural landscape of Boulder.
