Project Summary

Milender White is a co-developer and the general contractor on this public-private partnership which will create an energized new downtown for the Broomfield community. The Broomfield Town Square is located on 10.4 acres at Main Street and 1st Avenue, near the Interlocken and 120th exit off Highway 36.  Situated between Denver and Boulder, the Town Square is designed to be a gathering spot at the heart of the community.

The pedestrian-focused development features a town square, performance areas, public park and plaza, a farmer’s market, community gathering spaces, and interactive public art. The plans call for converting an existing vacant Safeway building (61,310 sq. ft. on a 5.5-acre parcel) into the Broomfield Central Market. The Market will provide a lively, community-focused atmosphere with open seating and flexible event space. It supports a mix of prepared food, grocery, retail, chef-driven culinary concepts, along with a handful of local retail entrepreneurs and will become a lively incubator space and launchpad for new businesses. Highlights of the approximately 440,356 sq. ft. of vertical development include:

  • 90,417sq. ft. of retail and restaurant uses
  • 318 multifamily units with 20% designated affordable
  • 161 age-restricted active adult units with 20% designated affordable
  • 12 townhomes in Phase I
