Project Summary

Milender White (MW) co-developed and built this 216-unit multifamily transit-oriented development with 36,000 sq. ft. of storefront retail. The mixed-use building is a five-story wrap, Types III and Type V-B construction with structured parking and a concrete podium over ground-floor retail space; plus three stand-alone retail buildings.

The Parkside Collective apartment community offers residents a unique experience relative to the “typical” apartment communities that are found outside Denver’s downtown core.  Resident units boast quality appliances and millwork, luxury vinyl flooring and solid-surface counters in highly efficient floorplans.  In addition to contemporary finishes, secured garage parking and extensive community amenities, Parkside residents enjoy the extended amenity set offered via the 36,000+ square feet of on-site retail space, including “Parkside Eatery”, a micro food hall with 5 food and beverage concepts surrounding a central bar/common area.

The development site is at the northeast corner of Sable Boulevard and Alameda Avenue, adjacent to a 19-acre city park with a pedestrian underpass connecting residents to RTD’s Aurora Metro Center Station.  The MW team partnered with Xcel and RTD to coordinate moving an RTD power line to support construction; and utilized prefabricated walls and floors on the project to reduce cost and increase site safety and efficiency.

Parkside @ City Center and Milender White Construction were the recipient of the Associated Builders & Contractors, Inc., Rocky Mountain Chapter’s 2021 General Contractor Project of the Year and 2021 Excellence in Construction, Multi-Family / Residential awards. Parkside is the recipient of the Award of Excellence for Special Projects from the Rocky Mountain Associated Builders & Contractors, Inc. (ABC).

Prefabrication: MW constructed and installed pre-fabricated walls and floors on the project which drove reduced costs and increased safety and efficiency on site.
