Milender White (MW) and Capstone Development Partners teamed up to renovate apartments and townhomes in Mines Park, the Colorado School of Mines housing community built for upper-division and graduate students. In all, 160 one-, two-, and three-bedroom units were upgraded in the buildings along Infinity Circle.
The renovations at Mines Park were part of the larger Mines Park Village development, which also added new student housing in four-story buildings. Capstone, Mines, and MW worked to create a community with a distinct sense of place and an enhanced quality of living. Like the new construction, the renovations were designed and built to achieve LEED Gold certification.
Unit upgrades included new air-conditioning equipment, thermostats and water heaters, light and plumbing fixtures, luxury vinyl floor tile, countertops, sinks, and major appliances. The renovations to these Type V-A and Type V-B structures were completed in 2024, coinciding with the Colorado School of Mines’ 150th anniversary.
