Milender White (MW) and Capstone Development Partners are teaming up to renovate apartments and townhomes in Mines Park, the Colorado School of Mines housing community built for upper-division and graduate students. In all, 160 one, two, and three-bedroom units are being upgraded in the buildings along Infinity Circle.
The renovations to Mines Park are part of a larger effort, the Mines Park Village development, which will also include new student housing in four-story buildings. Capstone, Mines, and MW are striving to create a community with a distinct sense of place and an enhanced quality of living. Like the new construction, the renovations are being designed and built to achieve LEED Gold certification.
Unit upgrades include new air conditioning equipment, thermostats and water heaters, light and plumbing fixtures, luxury vinyl floor tile, countertops, sinks, and major appliances. The renovations to these Type V-A and Type V-B structures are scheduled to be completed in 2024, as the Colorado School of Mines celebrates its 150th anniversary.
