Project Summary

The Rose Andom Center opened in June of 2016 as Colorado’s only “family justice center” to better serve families impacted by domestic violence and to provide wrap-around services and integrated support for survivors and their families.  At the center, victims and their children can access integrated care, including safety planning, civil legal options, crisis intervention, counseling and advocacy, and now medical care.  Since opening, over 4,250 victims and 1,200 children have accessed comprehensive services. Because taking care of people is of the utmost importance at Milender White, we take the safety and well-being of the communities we develop very seriously. That’s why Milender White built this project at no profit – because we believe in building healthy and responsive places for those in need.

In partnership with Denver Health and the Colorado Health Foundation, Milender White is constructing an on-site lab within the Health Center at the Rose Andom Center. The project work includes a 123 sq. ft. remodeled clinic lab, with new equipment, solid surface counter tops and cabinetry. Milender White is providing construction services at no additional cost to the owners. Thanks to a grant from the Colorado Health Foundation, the Rose Andom Health Center is staffed full-time by personnel from Denver Health for administration of health screenings and diagnostics to aid Rose Andom Center clients.

The Rose Andom Center is the ideal setting to address the health and psychosocial needs of women who have experienced violence.  Having one community space to access medical services and care to domestic violence victims ensures that victims receive full-time, on-site and comprehensive support.
