Milender White (MW) partnered with the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless and Renaissance Housing Development Corporation to construct the John Parvensky Stout Street Recuperative Care and Legacy Lofts. This multifamily housing development and assisted living facility provides 98 units of rental housing and a 75-bed assisted living center to serve community members experiencing homelessness and/or requiring medically-supportive affordable living. The nine-story building includes supportive services and management offices, resident amenities, lobbies and covered parking.
The project is located on a .43-acre site at the 2100 block of California Street, directly behind CCH’s Stout Street Health Center and near local transit in the Arapahoe Square Neighborhood. It is seeking Enterprise Green Communities certification.
The MW construction team committed itself to creating jobs and changing lives through the Stout Street project. The team hired and trained Section 3 residents for the construction, partnering with local organizations that support successful program models for rebuilding careers and lives. By maximizing opportunities and providing mentorship, supervision, safety training and skills training, these individuals could embark on a new career path while also entering a new home.
Groundbreaking for the project occurred on February 26, 2021. Read more about the groundbreaking!
