Milender White (MW) partnered with the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless and Renaissance Housing Development Corporation to construct the John Parvensky Stout Street Recuperative Care Center and Legacy Lofts. This supportive housing development and assisted living facility provides 98 apartments and a 75-bed assisted living center to serve those experiencing homelessness and/or requiring medically supportive affordable living. The nine-story building includes social support services and management offices, resident amenities, lobbies and covered parking.
The project is located on a .43-acre site at the 2100 block of California Street, directly behind CCH’s Stout Street Health Center, with local transit connections in the Arapahoe Square Neighborhood. The building was designed and constructed to meet or exceed Enterprise Green Communities guidelines for energy efficiency.
The MW construction team committed itself to creating jobs and changing lives through the Stout Street project, hiring and training Section 3 residents for the construction and partnering with local organizations that support successful program models for rebuilding careers and lives. By maximizing opportunities and providing mentorship, supervision, safety training and skills training, these individuals could embark on a new career path while also entering a new home.
