As Milender White constructed The Brodie on part of a 26-acre parcel, it also oversaw 22 acres of onsite civil work and 4 acres of offsite improvements adjacent to the 312-unit project for the City of Westminster. Over-lot grading touched every inch of the 26 acres.
The offsite work consisted of widening and adding an acceleration lane for Federal Boulevard and reshaping a detention pond with new storm sewer. In greater detail, the work performed included site and Right of Way (ROW) landscaping, site fencing, retaining walls, and building minor structures.
Onsite civil construction included over-excavation, soil conditioning, and recompacting under the foundations to accommodate underground parking and miscellaneous structures. Also included was a new sewer and storm mains covered by new asphalt roads with curb and gutter, sidewalks and bike paths. New water mains, hydrants, and potable water piping were installed as well.
